Hope For Youth

50th Anniversary Gala

In 1967 Hope For Youth’s founder, Nassau County Family Court Judge Elizabeth Bass Golding, learned that one-half of the children in the State Psychiatric Hospital system were there simply due to lack of suitable community-based viable home alternatives for youth. Fast forward two years to 1969 and Hope For Youth was founded as a not-for-profit voluntary agency and incorporated under the laws of the State of New York and licensed by the New York State Department of Social Services and the New York State Office of Mental Health to operate group homes for youth.

2019 is our 50th Anniversary! 50 years and counting, and we continue to be dedicated to facilitating positive change in the lives of children, adolescents and families. Please consider joining us on November 7th as we celebrate our 50 years of service to Long Island. Details of the evening can be found here: https://hfygala.org/ There are many ways to support the gala, of which all proceeds will benefit Hope For Youth programming and services. If you have any questions, please contact Kate Travers at ctravers@hfyny.org. We hope to see you on the 7th!
