Did You Know, September is Kinship Care Month

Kinship Care refers to relatives raising kids when their parents aren’t able to. It is estimated that nationally, more than 2.65 million youth are in kinship care.

Staff member, Tina Basile, is Hope For Youth’s Permanency Specialist exploring legal, financial, and permanency options with Suffolk County kinship families. Tina works to make sure families have the support they need to care for the children in their home and to help families understand their options in Family Court.
