Summer Camp Tuition Drive A Success!

We did it! With the generous support of friends and donors our four summer camp-hopefuls are now fully engaged in many weeks’ worth of activities and fun not typically recognized by vulnerable youth on Long Island.

Fernando is attending a local summer camp program in Brentwood where he spends the day in a fun and safe environment among twenty five of his closest new friends! Each day he participates in a variety of educational, recreational, and community service activities. He has enjoyed taking trips to the bowling lanes and to the park, and forming new friendships. He is happy to be learning something new every day!

Jeyson, Alex, and Wilfredo are attending a Summer Travel Camp based in Islip. Among the busy schedule of trips kept by the campers, one of their favorites so far was seeing Planet of the Apes at the Sayville theatre earlier in the week. Upcoming trips include fishing out of Captree, and bowling.

These four young boys and their parents are grateful for the opportunity to expand their social skills and be part of activities that increase their emotional well-being. The generosity of their summer camp sponsors have proven to them that there is HOPE!
