“I have been in Foster Care since the age of 12. I was taken away from my family due to circumstances out of my control. Hope For Youth has been a great asset in helping me become independent. It has been a dream to get my Bachelors Degree. They helped acquire grants and scholarships to help pay for my tuition. They provided me with the necessary knowledge to manage my expenses and financial responsibilities. They helped me get my drivers license, set up a bank account, and my social security card. I have aged out of foster care but Hope For Youth still remains in my life by checking in with me regularly. They helped me find an apartment and my caseworker Frank was for me after I became injured in a car accident. Hope For Youth has been a stepping stone to reaching my goals and overcoming obstacles that have been challenging in my life. Their goal is to make sure you have a fair life and great opportunities for your future.  I am 23 years old I am not homeless, I own a car, have an apartment, and acquired my associate’s degree!”
